CASPLAST™ RW 4 GKW-AX Plus Flex is designed for rolling stock applications, including onboard safety circuits, lighting circuits, and auxiliary power circuits. It is suitable for installations requiring enhanced fire performance and reliable electrical behavior up to 3 kV.
Many onboard auxiliary and distribution systems in rail vehicles operate at higher voltage levels than standard low-voltage systems. The 1.8/3 kV rating provides sufficient electrical margin and supports safe, stable operation of critical onboard circuits.
The cable meets stringent fire safety requirements, including flame retardancy according to EN / IEC 60332-1-2, low smoke density according to EN / IEC 61034-1-2, and low corrosivity of combustion gases according to EN / IEC 60754-2. These properties are essential for passenger safety in enclosed rail environments.
With fine-stranded Class 5 conductors and electron-beam cross-linked polyolefin insulation and sheath, the cable offers extra flexibility, excellent cut-through resistance, and high abrasion resistance.
