Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Shielding is essential in high-voltage EV systems to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensure stable signal and power transmission. CASUSTAN™ EV EVP 150 features an aluminum tape screen combined with a tinned copper braid, providing effective electromagnetic shielding for sensitive and safety-critical e-mobility applications.
The aluminum tape provides full coverage for electrostatic shielding, while the tin-plated copper braid ensures low impedance and effective grounding. This dual-layer shielding design helps minimize electromagnetic emissions and improves overall EMC performance in high-voltage power systems.
CASUSTAN™ EV EVP 150 is well suited for applications such as battery-to-inverter connections, power distribution units (PDU), onboard chargers, DC fast-charging interfaces, and other high-voltage areas where EMC control and electrical safety are critical.
The cable is designed for harsh automotive environments, offering excellent resistance to thermal shock, UV exposure, humidity, and aggressive chemicals. Its flexible conductor design and XLPO sheath allow reliable installation and long-term performance even in complex routing conditions.
Yes. The cable is manufactured according to ISO 6722-1 (Class E) for automotive applications. It is also halogen-free in accordance with IEC 60754-2 / EN 60754-2, supporting enhanced safety in enclosed vehicle environments by reducing corrosive and toxic gases in case of fire.
